Pilipinas Ultimate Makes Waves on Home Turf and Global Stage in 2023

Metro Manila, Philippines – Close to home, the Philippines hosted the Asia Oceanic Ultimate & Guts Championships (AOUGC) 2023 at the Alabang Country Club

This prestigious event saw the Pilipinas Ultimate Open team capture Gold in the Open Division, showcasing their dominance in the region.

In the Masters Mixed Division, South Durian claimed 2nd place and Philippines Mixed Masters secured 3rd place, further highlighting the depth and talent within the Philippine ultimate community.

Huntington Beach, California – Pilipinas Ultimate made a strong showing at the recent WFDF World Beach Ultimate Championships (WBUC) 2023.

A standout achievement was delivered by the Grand Masters Open (Boracay Dragons), who captured the Silver medal, a testament to the enduring passion and competitive drive of Philippine ultimate.

The Boracay Dragons (Open) secured a commendable 5th place finish, showcasing their competitive spirit and athleticism on the world stage. The Binibinis (Women) also delivered a solid performance, placing 4th and demonstrating the growing strength of Women’s Ultimate in the Philippines.

Adding to the impressive results, the Masters Mixed team also claimed a 5th place finish, highlighting the dedication and skill of the country’s veteran players.

Malaysia – Capping off the year, the Philippines competed in the Asia Oceanic Juniors and Masters Ultimate Championships

Adding to this impressive 2023 run, the Philippine teams competed at the Asia Oceanic Juniors and Masters Ultimate Championships in Malaysia last December 2023. The Masters team clinched Gold, while the Junior team secured a commendable Silver medal, showcasing the bright future of Philippine ultimate.

These achievements demonstrate the continued growth and development of ultimate frisbee in the Philippines on the international and regional stages. Pilipinas Ultimate continues to inspire and represent the country with pride.
